2025 C.A.C.R. Scholarship Application


The C.A.C.R. Scholarship is provided by the Connecticut Association of Collegiate Registrars. It is a one-time $500 scholarship (not a renewable allotment) awarded to one student per academic year.  To qualify for the C.A.C.R. scholarship, the applicant must be: 1) A student in attendance at one of the C.A.C.R member institutions, who will be either a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in the upcoming Fall Semester, and is someone who is 2) either planning to pursue a career in Higher Education or is a current student worker in a Registrar’s Office at a member institution.

To apply for the scholarship, students who meet the requirement must submit the application below, along with an essay. The essay should be a minimum of 500 words long, and discuss the applicant’s future plans to work in higher education or discuss their current experience working in the Registrar’s Office. The application must include the signature of their College or University Registrar, verifying their information.

Students may apply for this scholarship each academic year, but past recipients are not eligible to re-apply in subsequent academic years. 

Applications open at the beginning of the spring semester (January 1st) and are due by April 1st. Students will be notified via email by May 1st if they have been awarded the scholarship.  The recipient will be invited to the annual C.A.C.R. Spring Meeting, where they will be given a check made out to their institution, to be used in the upcoming Fall semester.

The recipient will be invited to join us during the Spring meeting.
